As implementers of education,teachers determine the quality of education to some extent.It is an inevitable trend for students to become the main subject,the subject matter knowledge(SMK)and pedagogical content knowledge(PCK)of teachers have got more and more attentions.This research targeted on 50 junior students and two senior students in Normal university who major in mathematics,in order to know the source and representation of these prospective mathematics teachers' SMK and PCK,We designed a relevant test,using SPSS statistical method to study the relationship between SMK and PCK.And two lessons about "the distance from a point to a line" were recorded by video,which lectured by two senior students,combining the test with the video case studies to study the relationship between the SMK,PCK and practice on class teaching.The results are below:(1)There are some shortages in SMK for prospective mathematics teachers,and they performed well on the knowledge of facts and procedures,the lack of the knowledge of concepts and connections mainly reflects in formula derivation and calculation of the space point to the straight line distance.(2)There are also some shortages in PCK for prospective mathematics teachers,the understanding about textbook is not profound enough;they can realize the students' mistakes and find the solutions to overcome it,and can grasp the students'learning difficulties;they are good at grasping the teaching objectives and key points&difficulties,but weak in the design of mathematics classroom activity.(3)The correlation analysis gives the result:the correlation between SMK and PCK is obvious and the correlation coefficient is 0.405,the correlation between PCK and the knowledge of facts&procedures is weak,the knowledge of concepts and connections is moderate correlation with PCK.(4)The SMK and PCK have certain impact on the mathematical task design,and mainly reflected in doing the mathematical task.SMK impacts the teaching quality in scientific aspect,and PCK influences the teaching quality in richness,participatory and generative aspect.
