The Experimental Analysis On The New Material Plastic Top Spin Oncoming Balls In The Use Of Different Pimpled Rubbers

This study, adopting the method of law, experiment, video analysis, mathematical statistics and logical analysis, using pimpled rubbers of different properties to rebound the oncoming new material plastic balls with the same strength and the same rotation(top spin) to research the experiment in depth. The result shows that the difference of the balls rebounded off the three different pimpled rubbers could be expressed through several technical factors below:1) Speed, rebounding off the three kinds of pimpled rubbers,balls get different initial speeds. Balls rebounded off pips-out rubber get a faster speed, running at an average speed of 173.31+3.7cm/s. Balls rebounded off long-pips rubber get a slower speed of 129.05±3.7cm/s and balls rebounded off raw rubber which run at an average speed of 160.17±4.3cm/s lie in between.The average initial speed of the balls rebounded off pips-out rubber is greater than the final speed of the oncoming balls(160cm/s) while balls rebounded off long-pips rubber get the average initial speed to the contrary.2) Rotation, rebounding off the three kinds of pimpled rubbers, balls get the same rotation(clockwise, right to left) in the first arc. Balls rebounded off pips-out rubber get a slower rotation(6.07+1.27r/s), and balls rebounded off long-pips rubber comparatively get a faster rotation(26.59±0.68r/s) and the balls rebounded off raw rubber lie in between (15.46±1.06r/s). But the rotation in the second arc are different. Balls rebounded off pips-out rubber rotate anticlockwise while balls rebounded off long-pips and raw rubber get the rotation to the contrary3) Placement point, the path of the balls rebounded off the three kinds of pimpled rubbers are generally the same.Balls rebounded off pips-out rubber uniformly locate in the end-line area while balls rebounded off raw rubber intensively locate in the mid-area where close to the end-line. And most of the placement points of the balls rebounded off long-pips rubber have the similar shape and area while some of those are not.4) The arc, the height in the first arc of the balls rebounded off three kinds of rubbers:pips-out rubber:96±2cm;raw rubber:75±4cm; long-pips rubber:50±2cm. The average height in the second arc:pips-out rubber: 56±3cm;raw rubber:45±2cm; long-pips rubber:34±2cm.
