In this study,20 middle-aged women aged 40 to 50 years were selected as subjects, including 10 people in the belly dance exercise group and 10 people in the square dance exercise group. The intervention experiment was conducted for 3 months. Through the measurement of body weight, waist circumference, hip circumference, thigh circumference, arm circumference, side waist skinfold thickness, abdominal skinfold thickness, thigh skinfold thickness, big arm skinfold thickness, flat support time, one minute sit ups, body anteflexion in sitting position and other indicators to understand influence of belly dance and square dance of body form and physical quality, analysis and comparison of belly dance and square dance on body shape and physical quality produced changes in the difference and application, exercise induced mood questionnaire and core self evaluation scale for the assessment of these two kinds of exercise effects of exercise mental health and exercise choice appropriate exercise to provide reference and scientific guidance.After comparing the indexes before and after the experiment, the following results can be obtained: The first, belly dance group experimental subjects, waist circumference showed a significant difference (p<0.01), body weight, waist side skinfold, abdominal skinfold showed significant difference (p<0.05), no difference in other indexes (p>0.05); square dance groups before and after the experiment, the big arm circumference showed a significant difference (p<0.01), body weight, waist circumference, arm skinfold thickness showed significant difference (p<0.05), no difference in other indexes (p>0.05); comparative analysis indexes after the experiment group dance belly dance group after the experiment and the square, waist, side waist skinfold thickness and abdominal Pi Zhehou showed very significant difference (p<0.01); the big arm circumference was significantly different (p<0.05); there was no significant difference in other indexes (p>0.05). Thus, we can draw, belly dance, square dance can improve the body shape of middle-aged women, but belly dance in reducing the waist, abdominal skinfold thickness and side waist skinfold thickness, effect is better than that of square dance; square dance in reducing arm circumference on, the effect is better than the belly dance. The second, belly dance groups of subjects before and after the experiment, the 1min sit ups, flat support and seat proneness index showed a very significant difference (P< 0.01); square dance groups of subjects before and after the experiment, body anteflexion in sitting position indicators showed very significant difference (P< 0.01), one minute sit ups, flat plate supporting index showed significant difference (P< 0.05); belly dance in the experimental group after and square dance in the experimental group after the comparative analysis of indicators, 1min sit ups and tablet support index showed very significant difference (P< 0.01), body anteflexion in sitting position indicators no significant difference (P> 0.05). From this we can draw, belly dance and square dance can improve the physical quality of middle-aged women, but belly dance in the increase of abdominal strength, the effect is better than the square dance.The third, belly dance groups of subjects before and after the experiment, exercise induced mood questionnaire score and core self evaluation scale score showed a very significant difference (P< 0.01); square dance groups of subjects before and after the experiment, exercise induced mood questionnaire score and core self evaluation scale score showed a very significant difference (P< 0.01); belly dance in the experimental group and the square dance experimental after exercise induced mood questionnaire scores had no significant difference (P> 0.05); experimental group dance belly dance in the experimental group and the square of post core self evaluation scores showed a very significant difference (P< 0.01). From this we can draw, belly dance and square dance can improve the psychological health of middle-aged women, but the square dance in improving the level of the core self evaluation of middle-aged women, the effect is better than belly dance.
