With the rapid development of cross-border higher education,more and more students participate in the upsurge of studying abroad,China's rapid economic growth,also makes the number of students which come to China to participate in cross-border higher education increased year by year.However,we are still facing up with so many problems,the cultural environment of the host country is different from where the students' own cultural environment,this cultural distance makes students should have a cross-cultural adaptation process into the new environment.However,there are many factors that affect the cultural distance;the degree of impact is also different.Therefore,based on the existing research and the present situation,this paper analyzes the influencing factors of cultural distance in cross-border higher education.With the continuing advancement of the "One Belt and One Road" strategy,more and more schools in Yunnan Province participate in cross-border higher education;the number of students who come to learn in Yunnan colleges and universities is also increasing year by year.Due to the regional advantage of Yunnan Province,the number of students who come to Yunnan to receive cross-border higher education is mostly students in neighboring countries,while students from other countries are relatively few.Nevertheless,the number of students in this group is also expanding;therefore,we must deal with the cultural distance caused by cross-cultural conflict.Only in this way can Yunnan Province continue to carry forward the geographical advantages,enhance the quality of cross-border higher education,and attract more students to learn in Yunnan.The main contents of this paper are as follows: Firstly,the background,research significance,research ideas and methods of the thesis are introduced,and the literature are carried out from three aspects: cross-border higher education,cross-cultural theory and cultural distance.Secondly,it analyzes the current situation of cross-border higher education and cross-cultural conflict.For the status quo ofcross-border higher education,this article mainly introduces in four aspects in the form of clear charts;and for the status quo of cross-cultural conflict,it makes a detailed description from six aspects.Thirdly,the index system of cultural distance measurement model is designed,and the weight of each index is calculated by the improved analytic hierarchy process(AHP),and the cultural distance measurement model of cross-boundary higher education is constructed.Fourthly,using the cultural distance measurement model to analyze a typical case study of Yunnan university;Fifthly,according to the above case analysis of the cultural distance of many factors in the impact of cross-border higher education,for the large impact factors,we put forward countermeasures in the process of cross-border higher education and build cross-border education process management mechanism of cross-cultural conflict.Finally,the paper summarizes the research of the current thesis,puts forward the definite and shortcomings of this paper,and gives two suggestions for the follow-up study.At present,the development of cross-border higher education in our country is very fast.We should do a good job in cross-cultural management of cross-border higher education at this critical moment,alleviate the incompatibility and cross-cultural conflict brought about by the new environment,and dilute physical and psychological discomfort caused by the cultural distance factors that.In this way,we will create a relaxed environment for their study and life to,so as to promote the rapid development of cross-border higher education in Yunnan Province,and to enhance the quality of cross-border higher education in colleges and universities.
