In foreign language teaching,learning strategies and foreign language anxiety have always been the two important factors that affect middle school students' English level,which also attract the researchers' attention.Through the contrast,the scholars found that the learning strategy and the learning anxiety have a major impact on the improvement of the students' oral English and their scores.Meanwhile,the relationship between the two is very close.The study mainly focused on the relationship between English learning strategies and foreign language anxiety.The research direction mainly includes the followings:what is the current situation of junior high school students' English language anxiety and English learning strategies? Is there any difference on junior high school students' English language anxiety and English learning strategies in different subjects variables? What is the relationship between English learning strategies and English language anxiety of the junior high school students?The author made a questionnaire survey of 3 grades in Yujiang middle school among 145 students.The aim was to know the current situation of English learning strategies and anxiety of the junior high school students.The survey is designed with Horwitz's foreign language classroom anxiety scale,Oxford's compiled language learning strategy scale and personal interviews,using modern statistical methods(SPSS 17)to measure and analyze the data obtained.The results are as follows:(1)The foreign language anxiety of the junior high school students is generally poor,and the usage of English learning strategies is also in low level.(2)It exists evident differences of the junior high school students' English language anxiety and English learning strategies in different subjects variables.English language classroom anxiety of the grate one is the highest,but their level of applying of learning strategies is also the highest.On the differences between men and women,girls' usage of leaning strategies level obviously is higher than boys'.(3)English learning strategies and foreign language anxiety are in significantly negative correlation,that is,the lower thelevel of junior middle school students English learning strategy use,the higher the foreign language anxiety is.Therefore,according to the discussion of the junior high school students' English learning strategies and foreign language anxiety,the author put forward some countermeasures to reduce the students' foreign language anxiety,aiming at creating a lower anxiety classroom language learning environment and improving the students' English learning efficiency and communication skills.
