Badminton forecourt technique is exquisite and changeable, and with lower discrimination and strong consistency. This is prominently reflected in handed backhand push hook in badminton.Only do athletes have good visual search ability, can they make judgments and decisions in limited time using main cues. This study started with badminton handed backhand push hook, using psychological paradigm and methods, creating a badminton anticipation test system, tried to find the effect of information from different body parts of the opponents on player's anticipation, and the possible role of executive function.Experiment1adopted 2(sports level)× 5(marked body part)between subjects design to study the influence of information from different body parts on the athletes anticipation using the method of spatial masking.Forty participants joined the experiment. The novice group consisted of 20 athletes, the average duration of training was 1.32 ±0.50 years, with no sports level and visual ability were normal;the expert group consisted of 20 athletes, the average training duration was 6.63 ± 1.17 years, their sports level were national rank two,and visual ability were normal. The results shows that when masking racket and hitting arm,the accuracy rate of judgment decreased significantly, while masking the head and lower body for athletes to predict, the accuracy of judgment remained unchanged.Expert group performed better than novice group on judgment accuracy, while no difference of response time existed between the two groups. In Experiment2,executive functions(updating, shifting, inhibition)and the masked body part were used as independent variables and we tried to investigate how these factors influence the athletes' anticipation.Thirty participants took part in this study.Their average training duration was 5.58±0.62 years, the sports level was national rank two,and visual ability was normal, with no color blindness. The results shows that the updating, one subcomponent of executive functions, can positively predict accuracy, but inhibition and shifting, other two subcomponents of executive functions have no significant effect on accuracy.Even though no significant differences aren't found between groups with high and low level of updating, shifting, and inhibition on response time, but the high executive function group tend to be faster than low executive function group. Conclusions: the racket and the arms are two body parts providing information for handed backhand push hook in badminton, and the executive function(the updating)paly a moderating role in athletes' anticipation.Without making, the highing accracy of the pre updating is significantly higher than the low updating group, while hitting arm is opposite.
