Objective To evaluate the status and needs of the safety education.To analyz the intervention effect of safety education for primary and secondary.To explore the best time when to develop the safety awareness and skills for schoolchildren,and provide the basis to carry out safety education.Methods Using a stratified cluster sampling method,from the moderate teaching level schools of urban and rural schools in Zhengzhou City,3 primary schools and 3 secondary schools weres selected respectively,a total of 12,which were 5226 students,were carried out an investigation in safety education questionnaire.Divided into three groups according to the requirements,and implemented safety education intervention to the intervention group for a year.By the way of questionnaires survey and scene simulation for some students,evaluated intervention effect.Results 1.The safety education types of urban and rural schools were the main of the schools blackboard and the bulletin boards(44.3%,43.1%).The average awareness of safety knowledge in urban and rural schools were separately 62.5%,60.3%.The average rates of basic cognitive were respectively 46.7%,51.4%.the average rates of positive attitude were 82.5 % and 85.3 %,respectively.And the average rates of positive behavior were respectively 45.2% and 41.8%.The KAP differences were statistically significant between urban and rural students(P<0.01).KAP score results showed: girls scores higher than boys,and junior scores higher than primary;the safety knowledge scores and the attitude scores of rural students wre all above the city,and the behavior scores were below the city.The television and the Internet were the primary source way of safety knowledge(49.01%),and the hope way was the health education classes(52.27%).The top three of wanting to know about security knowledge were how to help and escape when the natural disasters happened(66.47%),how to prevent and emergency treatment when the various types of minor accidents occurred(57.64%),and the simple wound care and hemostasis methods(56.58%).2.Before and after the intervention,the increased extents of knowledge awareness in the control group one,group two,the intervention group were respectively 11.6%,13.1%,29.4%,the differences were all statistically significant(P<0.01);the increased extents of the average rates in positive attitude were respectively-1.6%,1.9%,2.2%,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.01);the increased rates of average rates in positive behavior were 1.6%,-2.7%,6.9%,only the intervention a statistically significant difference before and after group(P<0.01).3.The KAP comprehensive scores for site assessment in three groups were respectively 18.14±6.43,18.10 ± 5.85,20.13 ± 7.75,the difference was statistically significant(F=4.861,P<0.01).The site assessment scores among the three groups in lower primary had no significant difference,the site assessment scores difference among the three groups in upper primary and lower secondary were all statistically significant(P<0.01).After the on-site assessment scores converted to percentile,the medians of scores from three to nine grade students followed by 50,50,58,63,48,50,48.The site assessment scores after grading were compared,the percentages of a score greater than or equal to 60 had no difference in gender,and also between urban and rural areas(P>0.05);the intervention group greater than in the other two control groups(P<0.01);the difference between upper primary was also statistically significant in grades conparing(P<0.01).Conclusions 1.Safety education of schoolchildren in zhengzhou city should be further comprehensive and systematic,and give full play to exert the advantages of health education classes.2.Safety education intervention can enable students improve safety knowledge greatly,and make positive behavior effectively improved.The sooner security awareness be trained,the better it will be.3.Safety skills should begin to pay attention to development from older pupils,and junior enhance training,especially medical aid knowledge and skills.
