The coming of new technological revolution brings human into a new era — "Internet +" era.Internet with powerful function and great charm deeply affects the development of human society.At the same time,it has also brought new opportunities and challenges to the reform and innovation of ideological and political education of universities.Under the "Internet +" era background,thinking innovation of ideological and political education is the new mission and responsibility serving for ideological and political education of universities in the new era.This paper illustratesopportunities and challenges faced by ideological and political education in the era of "Internet +" and the current development situation and problems,from the perspective of communication,pedagogy,sociology and other multidisciplinary,synthetically using research methods such as literature analysis and social investigation method.Besides,the author puts forward basic principles,objectives,contents and measures of reform and innovation of ideological and political education of universities in the "Internet +" era.Under the "Internet +" era background,ideological and political education of universitiesis facing the double reality background:On the one hand,human production mode,practice form and interpersonal emotion of thinking mode have been changed because of the internet,making profound changes take place in the ideological understanding of college students in the "Internet +" era.Ideological and political education for universities is facing various challenges such as teachers' dominance,students' self-study ability,the innovation of teaching content and method and so on.On the other hand,the development of the internet also widens the vision of ideological and political education,enriches the content of the ideological and political education,optimizes the way of ideological and political education,enhances the practicability of ideological and brings new opportunities to the development of ideological and political education of universities.Under the "Internet +" era background,current situation of ideological and political education in our country presents new characteristics and forms.College students are in period which the view of world,life and values are forming.The ideological and political education model itself pays more attention totheoretical teaching content and lacks of practicality.In addition,it is combined with the virtual nature,openness and freedomof the internet,makingsome outstanding phenomenon happen such as college students do not have clear view on ideological and political education and boundary in reality,which is badly in need of our further definition of characteristics and function of ideological and political education in the "Internet+" eraand clear orientation and development advantage.In the face of "Internet +" era background and the development of the ideological and political education,according to the principle of subjectivity,scientific nature and validity,The author illustrates that the guidance of the ideological and political educationfrom mechanical transmission to positive performance should be taken,andthe main position of "Internet+ and ideological and political education" should be taken;The top-level design should replace the loose management to improve the security system of "Internet+ ideological and political education";Artificial regeneration should be substituted by dynamic study in order to create cloud space of "Internet + ideological and political education",based on the basic purpose and long-term mechanism of the construction of "Internet +" ideological and political education of universities.
