With the deepening of educational reform,the reform of higher education in our country is actively seeking its own development.The eighteen report of the party points out the direction for the development of higher education,and proposes to promote the connotative development of higher education.The university sports education major,shouldering the responsibility of training the various types of sports education for the country and society.Schools should aim at cultivating students' ability of independent thinking,autonomous learning,discovery,analysis and problem solving,rather than a simple teacher output,and the mode of students' reception.At present,the traditional teaching method still dominates the physical education major track and field general courses,causing many students lack interest in learning and lack of comprehensive ability,can not adapt to the demand of society and the requirements of basic education work.Therefore,the reform of traditional teaching methods,improve the overall quality of students,will be the future development direction of physical education major.The application of PBL teaching method to college physical education track and field course,aims to explore the PBL teaching method in the course of track and field teaching effect,for their own teaching methods for the teaching of track and field,to make a beneficial attempt to improve the teaching quality and cultivate students' comprehensive ability.Using the method of literature,interviews,expert survey,questionnaire survey method,teaching experiment,mathematical statistics and other research methods.Selected two classes of physical education major of Northeast Normal University College of physical education of grade 2015,36 classes were divided into experimental class and comparative class.According to the selected back style high jump teaching content,experimental class teaching with PBL teaching method,and that in comparative classes adopt traditional teaching method in teaching.After the end of the teaching experiment,the two classes of students' sports performance,technical achievement,learning interest,self-learning ability,cooperation consciousness and communication ability,discovery,analysis,problem-solving ability and innovation ability and so on has carried on the statistical analysis it is concluded that:1.In physical education specialty in the common course for the track and field in the use of PBL teaching method,compared with the traditional teaching method,there are no significant difference in terms of performance,the effect is superior to the traditional teaching method in terms of skill evaluation scores.2.In physical education specialty in the common course for the track and field in the use of PBL teaching method,can stimulate the students' learning motivation,improve the enthusiasm of learning in training the students' interest in learning have significantly effect.3.PBL teaching attaches importance to students' subject status,give students more space,compared with the traditional teaching method,while there is no significant difference in cooperation consciousness and communication ability,but to improve the students' ability of autonomous learning,discovery,analysis,problem-solving ability and innovation ability has a significant effect.4.PBL teaching method to solve the physical education in the normal college track and field general course teaching,students learning interest is not high,the poor teaching effect of the dilemma,both in line with the requirements of quality education,conform to the development of the times,but also provides new ideas and methods for the reform of college physical education track and field general course.
