Teachers are the key factors to achieve the education goals and ensure the education quality of teaching in independent colleges,and the level of their vocational delay gratification and professional identity is the most important factors to impact directly on the teaching behavior and ability and level of scientific research of teachers in independent colleges.Therefore,the sustainable development of independent colleges is dependent on the improvement of teachers' vocational delay gratification and professional identity.The study of teachers' vocational delay of gratification and professional identity in independent colleges and the relationship between them were based on the investigation and analysis of two independent colleges in Ningxia.The data were analyzed by SPSS20.0 statistical software,and the results indicate as follows:(1)The overall condition of teachers' vocational delay of gratification in independent colleges is better;vocational delay of gratification exist significant differences in terms of political affiliation,marital status,job category,educational level,school age,professional title and the average monthly income.There is no difference in the gender and age.The level of teachers' professional identity is higher in independent colleges;there are notable differences in gender,age,political affiliation,marital status,job category,educational level,school age,professional title and the average monthly income.(2)The teachers' vocational delay gratification and professional identity in independent colleges has significant positive correlation.The teachers' professional identity can predict their vocational delay gratification in independent colleges,that is to say the better the professional identity is,and the better the vocational delay gratification is.Finally,the study proposes corresponding improvement suggestions for independent colleges from the perspective of sustainable development of independent colleges and teachers' professional development,in aims to improving the level of teachers' vocational delay gratification and professional identity,helping the independent colleges to strengthen the incentive mechanism,set up the correct concept of teachers team construction and provide the policy basis for their sustainable development.
