Since the 1960s,the studying of the body language has already became the hot topic.In recent years,the research on body language has becoming popular in the field of early childhood education.However,most of researches pay more attention on the summary and promotion of experience of teachers' body language and empirical research of teachers'body language on collective teaching activities,area activities.The research of teachers'body language in different gender,different teaching levels and different culture background is not so much.In order to develop the research areas in further,the researcher has chosen expert teachers and novice teachers from different teaching levels as the research the object to analyze the similarities and differences of concepts and behaviors between expert teachers and novice teachers.This study compared and analyzed concept and behavior of body language between an expert teacher and a novice teacher of the bottom class in W kindergarten,by using a combination of quantitative research and qualitative research methods.Language teaching activities of an expert teacher and a novice teacher were observed,by using non-participation method,and collected 20 video samples.At the same time,on the basis of the "teachers' nonverbal behavior observation " compiled by Zhou Pengsheng,we revised and eventually formed the official version.We observed and recorded each sample,used this observation schedule.After 20 video samples activities were collected,the author formed more than 20000 words text material by taking two semi structured interview with two teachers,and analyzed by making the generic analysis.This study compared body language of an expert teacher and a novice teacher from the aspects of concept and behavior.The conclusions of the research are as follow:(1)The concepts on body language between an expert teacher and a novice teacher are similar but the differences are also obvious.Teachers are similar in concept about the understanding of"meaning"?"function" and have more differences on the consciousness of "using”.(2)The behavior of body language between an expert teacher and a novice teacher have in common but differences are also significant,but differences they have many similar behaviors,such as "function type"?"scene" and some differences on "form".The researcher try to deeply analyze teacher's body language from the aspects of the consistencies and differences.
