For teachers in special education,they should face a group who need love and long for life as well as ordinary people.There are various types and individuals in the group.So,you might even say,erery person in the group is the most special one there.Therefor,teachers in special education not only need to be equipped with the basic quality,they also need more refined and more explicit qualities which could not only help students to solve problems but also help teachers to improve themselves and to achieve their individual social values.To protect the rights of persons with disabilities and support the development of special education,Government introduced a number of policies and regulations recently which are all lacked of more detailed provisions of the qualities that special education teachers should be possessed.lt has not been changed until Aug.2015 in which the Special Education Teachers' Professional Standards was enacted.The Professional Standards made detailed regulations about the morality,knowledge and ability of the teachers and play an important role in improving special education teachers'quality.On the background of the Professional Standards,the author used semi-structured interview and surveyed undergraduate students who majored in special education.The thesis analyzed the cognition of pre-teachers in special education towards Professional Standards and discussed the questions which was involved.Through survey and analysis,the following conclusions could be drawn:the degree of significance in professional qualities was slight above the abilities the major needed;the degree of significance in professional knowledge was low;senior students paid more attention to professional qualities;difference was exited in choosing qualities in genders.Thus,the suggestions was put forward:putting professional qualities as a breakthrough to improve the abilities pre-teachers needed;putting more emphasis on professional knowledge and enrich it;reinforcing communication and practical activities to promote the improvement of professional qualities;offering professional educational courses to narrow cognition difference in genders.As it is a long way to improve the qualities among special educational teachers,the pre-training should be grasped tightly in order to form sustainable development.According to the Professional Standards,some conclusions was achieved in the research.And maybe they could contribute to improve the qualities of the teachers who would be teaching in special education and as well and the development of our special education.
