Application Of Case Management In The Stress Relief Of Stroke Patients

In the face of sick adult children,parents always feel worried and helpless.As a kind of high incidence of disease,cerebral apoplexy are increasingly affecting many families.In gerontological social work,we are often concerned about the elderly people's health,safety and lonely.But pay little attention when older people become caregivers.As adult children fell ill,parents need to pay a lot of energy to take care of them.In this process,the elderly will face multiple difficulties,such as physical pressures,psychological pressures and social pressures.Therefore,to help the elderly to ease the pressure,to make them positive in the face of life and to help stroke patients in rehabilitation has become one of the important part of the elderly related research.Scholars at home and abroad in the study,pay more attention on basic medical research field,and using the method of social work intervention relative lack of research.Therefore,can professional social work method help elderly alleviate the pressure?What kind of work method suitable for solving this problem?Based on this consideration,this study selected Nanjing pudecun community granny as the research object,and try to use case management methods for social work intervention,helping them alleviate the pressure and rebuilding confidence in life.The study found that egotism in the process of taking care of patients with cerebral apoplexy will face many difficulties,resulting in multiple pressures.Because of husband's death,daughter-in-law's leaving,egotism lacking of normal family support,the support of family and community neighborhood also loss constantly because of decreased social interaction.The existence of these problems are related to egotism's own lack of patience,social closed,lack of social organization's care.The study adopts the case management method,through the past professional internship,integrating the hospital,community,neighborhood,social organzations and other social resources to help egotism.Evaluation results shows that the methods of social work intervention help egotism solved the difficulties in life and enhanced their life confidence.As an emerging social work method,case management is applied to caregiver 's stress relieving,this is not only beneficial to the comprehensive evaluation,comprehensive service plan design,but also can coordinate all kinds of social resources,and create good development environment for egotism.In case management approach,social workers play a role as resource links,supporters and intermediaries.The study suggested that stroke caregivers pressure relief work should pay attention to the development of promoting social work professionals and team construction,especially when caregivers as the elderly,need to give more love and support,from many aspects,such as life,psychological help.
