| 21st century will belong to the era of information technology.Everyone will be faced with a variety of information from every aspect of life every day.It is an essential ability to select and identify effective information for our own use.Besides,coding,analyzing and applying the effective information is also an essential ability.The biological science in new curriculum is intended to examine students’ explanation of the biological phenomenon,rather than memorizing the knowledge,which meets the need of the extraction and analysis of information.The author uses literature reading analysis,questionnaires,interviews and so on to do the study,discussing the high school biology graphic conversion ability and defining the graphic conversion,biology chart and other core concepts.It is based on a variety of learning and memory theories.The author also does some further studies in Chongqing No.11 Middle School where she teaches,testing students’ graphic conversion,interviewing some teachers,and understanding the status of high school biology graphic conversion ability.Based on her own teaching experience,the author studies how to cultivate students’ ability to convert text and graphics further.Ⅰ.According to the questionnaire and interviewing results,we can see that the high school biology graphic conversion ability is not optimistic:Firstly,the graphic conversion ability is very weak,and the improvement of transfer map mode is not easy.Secondly,through repeated training,comparative memorizing,understanding,analysis,synthesis application are beneficial to memorizing,but students still have problems in the deeper understanding and coding analysis information.Therefore,it needs to be improved.Thirdly,high school students have no awareness of graphic conversion.They can’t combine graph with text information,and there is no related connection.As for the graphic conversion ability training,teachers don’t have systematic teaching methods,and the explaining is a little scattered.Lastly,the reasons of high school students’ weak ability of graphic conversion are as follows:the awareness of students’graphic conversion is weak;students don’t attach importance to it;the construction ability of knowledge is weak;they lack effective problem-solving methods,reading graph ability and coding information means;teachers’ guiding awareness and teaching methods are limited.Ⅱ.In view of the current situation,the author has made relevant practical research,and come to a conclusion:Firstly,revise and perfect the textbook illustrations.At the same time,use the textbooks flexibly and build good teaching designs.Secondly,train students’ reading,drawing,and changing graphs ability systematically.Lastly,the three forms of graphic conversion have their own characteristics and teaching strategies are related,but the focuses are not the same.Hence,teachers should pay attention to these separate characteristics.Finally,the author of the paper does some reflections and conclusions.In a word,we have entered the information age.Whether you are teachers or students,you need to master the graphic conversion method.This is a very important basic skill.The author provides some ideas for herself and for all the teachers in high school,hoping it can promote the education effectively. |
