A Research On The Techniques And Tactics Used In World Badminton Women's Singles From 2012 To 2016

In recent years,the competition pattern of badminton women's singles has changed,and the Chinese women's singles with serious age fault phenomena are frequently affected by young foreign players.The study in this paperon the changes of techniques and tactics of the badminton women's singles and the future development trend provides reference to the badminton women singles technical and tactical research scholars and the badminton coaches.In this paper,the 15 games of the top 4 badminton women's singles during the 2012-2016 Olympic Games and the World Championships are studied by means of literature review,video observation,mathematical statistics and logic analysis.According to the statistics of the 12players' serving and catchingtechniques,forecourt technique,midcourt technique,the backcourt technique and the analysis of the gains and losses,the thesis analyzes the development of the women's singles tactics in the Olympic cycle.The results show that the high clear utilization rate of women's singles in the world is dropping,while the drop shot utilization rate of the women's singles in the world is increasing,which proves there's a clear difference in the development of serving and catching techniques.Drive and fast return,backcourt smash techniques have been obviously changed.Women's singles player scores more comprehensive ways.But the rate of losing points from every techniques is higher,especiallyfrom the midcourtintercept,backcourt drop shot and smashing techniques.Conclusions:(1)A change has taken place in the pattern of women's badminton competition on a global scale with there being an increasing number of top players in other countries,and brought greater impact on Chinese players,leading to a sharp decline in their performance in women's singles,and a temporary shortage of reserved talents.(2)For service and return of service,short service is more widely adopted,the consciousness of net smash is raised,and chopping,releasing and pushing are applied more and more frequently.(3)Driving and blocking are frequent in matches,and in singles,the rational application of the mid-court technique used in doubles not only quickens the match tempo,but also makes singles matches more wonderful.(4)The application of backcourt smash and drop shot creates more opportunities for attack,and quick net approaching smoothens matches.(5)With the rapid development of women's singles,the traditional strike based on quick pull and drop shot is already unpractical,and it is being replaced with active attack.More techniques and methods adopted in “men's singles” will be applied in women's singles.(6)The tactics applied is transformed from passive defense and attack into active attack,and attack will become a main tactics in women's singles in the future.
