Since 1964,after summarized the principles of ‘Three Requirements and Heavy Load' athletic training program from GUOXINGFU's teaching method,China gradually steps into scientific training process.Through the exploration from scholars and coaches during this time, formed a series of training method that included repetitive training method. However, the utilization is incomplete when applying different training methods to different regions. On one hand, majority of the coaches only master the application of one or two training methods, which narrowed the design of the training plan.On the other hand,a number of the coaches have the ability to manage multi training methods, but the knowledge on how to utilize those methods in different athletic groups is rather limited. After went through a great quality of references,I noticed that the circulative training method for juvenile short distance swimming project,at present, gained rare attention on applied research. Therefore, this thesis will focus on this particular area and thereby to enrich the utilization of this particular training method, also in the mean time to provide more help to coaches and athletics when designing the training plan. This thesis used literature review method, experimental method, observation method and mathematical statistical method as the main research methods, and aim at 24 on-training juvenile male swimmers in Kunming. To do so,I used circulative training and traditional training methods to run a contrast experiment.Through the monitor of two different groups' physiological and biochemical indexes test, special physical fitness test and performance measures to discuss how to apply the circulative training method to juvenile male short distance swimming program and its possibilities to do so.The results indicate that, there is no significant differences from physiological and biochemical indexes test, special physical fitness test and performance measures before the experimentation; After 8 weeks training program, the test results from experimental group and controlgroup has various improvement, and part of the results has showed some significant improvement especially from the experimental group that used circulative method. Therefore, apply the circulative training method to juvenile male short distance swimming is feasible.According to the data analysis for both groups before and after the experimentation, circulative training method can deeply stimulate the athletes' training intensity, and has distinct help on functional restoration, improve specific techniques, and ultimately improve the performance. However,it requires flexibility of the mode of compound and the time of rest when apply circulative method to swimming program,it is suggested that coaches should design the training program according to the athlete's situation.
