Research On Curriculum Provision And Enlightenment Of Feminist Studies In Colleges And Universities Of American

The development of Women Studies comes from the development of feminist movement and feminist theory.Women Studies is based on feminist theory and feminist perspective.The United States is the first country in the world to start women's studies.In the late 1960 s and early 1970 s,women's studies began to rise.In recent decades,women's studies have made great achievements in American colleges and universities and get concerned both at home and abroad.Female curriculum in China's college begin to be built and developed by the effort of many experts and scholars.However,compared with the setting of female curriculum in American colleges and universities,the starting point of female curriculum in colleges and universities in our country is still too less and too undeveloped.And,it is faced with difficulties in the development process.Through the study of the curriculum of female college in American colleges the University of Maryland,this study summarized their advantages of the curriculum of female students in order to provide reference for college in our country.Female curriculum in University of Maryland has been carried out for a long history with rich educational resources.Female curriculum objects in University of Maryland was theoretical,professional and practical.The curriculum structure has realized systematization,hierarchy,and diversification.The curriculum content has achieved internationalization,the globalization and modernization.The curriculum evaluation has manifested the external characteristics included standardization,systematization and externalization.This study reviewed and evaluated the history and current situation of the development of female curricula in China at present,and concluded the key ways to develop women's education and female curriculum in China Female curriculum goals should be the combination of the theory and practice.The course content should be the combination of the discipline and non-academic simultaneously.The course type should be the combination of degree courses and non-degree certificate courses simultaneously.At the same time,we should actively enhance the resources of female courses and cultivate high quality female teachers.Only in this way can we carry out women's education better,bothfor the feminist movement and the rights of women.
