Research On The Transformation Path Of Traditional Majors In The Development Of Local Universities

As an important component of higher education system of our country,local universities undertake the important task of serving regional economic and social development.With regard to the demand of multilayer talents,cultivation methods need to be changed.In this circumstance,the transformation of local universities has become the main content of China's higher education reform,and the reform of traditional majors is the most significant and difficult point.Chinese Language and Literature Major in Baoding College(a transformation experimental university in Hebei Province)is regarded as study object.This dissertation deeply analyzed the dilemma of transformation through interviews and questionnaires,including single personnel training direction,uncertain training target,unreasonable time allocation of theory and practice,and the lack of practical experience.Based on the above difficulties,associated with the features of the major,this paper propose the following suggestions: set application-oriented majors scientifically;focus on the cultivation of professional skills;establish curriculum system centering on ability to improve the effectiveness of enterprise courses and innovative courses;focus on teachers' practical ability,and allocate teachers according to course type.These suggestions are put forward to promote the transformation of traditional majors in Chinese local universities.
