A Research On The Development Of Outdoor Sports Tourism Resources In Guilin

As great attention was paid to the sports tourism in our country,it is gradually entering in our daily life.The government's investigation in sports tourism keeps increasing,the National Tourism Administration and the General Administration of Sports Tourism of China jointly issued several related documents,like Guiding Views on How to Develop Sports Tourism(Tourism,2016).With the government's policies as support,a number of cities developed the outdoor sports items and sports brand.For Guilin,which is a famous city for international tourism,it is of great significance to carry out outdoor sports tourism projects in search of new breakthrough and economic growth.Took the related problems about the development of outdoor sports tourism resources in Guilin as research subjects and based on the related theories of tourism,tourism economics,sports science,sports science,and sociology,the development of outdoor sports tourism resources in Guilin was analyzed from the aspect of integrated development in the present study aiming at promoting the development of outdoor sports tourism in Guilin theoretically,providing theoretical basis for the development of outdoor sports tourism in Guilin and facilitating the development of related industry.The whole paper is consisted of six parts as following:The first part is introduction.Source of the research topic,research purpose and significance,research subjects and contents,research approaches and methodologies,studies at home and abroad were discussed in this part Theoretical basis was elaborated from the aspects of sustainable development theory,theory of experience economy,life cycle theory of tourism and innovation theory,in order to ensure proper theoretical guidance for the present research.Part two is about the current development situation of resources,infrastructure and scale of outdoor sports tourism in Guilin,and future development trends,so as to lay foundation for the further research.The third part is ASEB grid analysis of outdoor sports tourism in Guilin.This analysis was carried out with the method of ASEB grid analysis from four perspectives including advantages,disadvantages,chances and challenges.The results show that the advantages of outdoor sports tourism in Guilin include abundant resources,rich tourist resources,beautiful city image and favorable location.The disadvantages include lack of effective administration,comprehensive talents,and lack of propaganda work.The chances include policy opportunities,China-ASEAN ongoing comprehensive cooperation,the display of early form of accessible tourist area and constantly increasing citizen's income and development of the city.The challenge include competition with surrounding provinces,impact of the foreign sports tourism industry,the destruction to environment caused by the development of sports tourism industry.Part four is the analysis of product classification of sports tourism in Guilin.Loen's RMP theory was used in this analysis.R analysis:to develop multiclass of sports tourist products according to the classification system include sports tourism resources on earth,on waters and in the air,and with the nature environment advantages of Guilin.M analysis:as main traffic lines,high-speed rail,aviation and highway should be fully used.With Guangxi province as foundation and Guangdong province,Yunnan Province and Guizhou province as development direction,the radiation pattern of sports tourism in Guilin should be expanded to the national tourism market.P analysis:bring forth new ideas about external situation of outdoor sports tourism products development in Guilin,optimize its spatial arrangement,highlight the core products,plan the route and exploit the development framework.Part five is about the development measures of outdoor sports tourism resources in Guilin.Based on the research above,the author proposed that it will be necessary to work out measures from the aspects include policy,society,talents,market and resources.As to the aspect of policy:play the function of the government;make policy documents,normalize the management of outdoor sports tourism,streamline administration and delegate power to the lower levels,exploit the advantages to full play.Considering society,integrate the available resources;promote the merit of industrial scale,promote the cooperation between outdoor sports association and scenic spots so as to benefit both sides.Resources:develop special programs,seek for new growth points of tourism,create outdoor sports tourism network to form seamless outdoor sports tourism circle.Economics:according to the tourism marketing system,design outdoor sports tourism projects,deeply investigate minority sports culture and expand outdoor sports tourism market.As to talents:emphasize on professional personnel training,enhance the talent's practical ability,strengthen measures of tourist service management and enhance the skill training of professionals.The last part is conclusion and suggestions.In the present study,summaries of the experience at home and abroad were made based on the related theories of tourism development and the current situation of outdoor sports tourism in Guilin.The research shows that outdoor sports tourism development speed and scale of Guilin is still slower than that of prosperous regions,further development is still needed;as innovation,new outdoor sports tourism products were put forward based on resource advantage;take advantage of the unique national traditional sports in Guilin to expandMake up the weakness and give full play to superiority,develop the outdoor sports tourism in Guilin.Suggestions:establish demonstration base of outdoor sports tourism,create outdoor sports tourism products of high quality,strengthen security measures and cultivate the talents.
