Teaching reading and writing are both essential to Chinese language teaching.These two parts are complementary to each other.Combining reading and writing can improve both skills.Students start writing practice during their middle period of primary school.Using multiple research methods,such as documentary research,action research and case study in the following essay,it finds out the difficulties students meet during their reading and writing;also importantly,it analyzes the current situation teachers meet when teaching and doing research.Focusing on the psychological characteristic of the young students,looking closely at the connection between reading and writing,it explains the methodology to improve the connection between reading and writing with the perspective of students,teachers and documents.To summarize,effort on three aspects needs to make.Firstly,to focus more on students as they are the internal drive to the study.Secondly,to give more intention on original text books as it’s the main teaching materials.Thirdly,to train teachers to be more qualified for their job.Students are encouraged to develop a good habit of learning gradually through each word,phrases and sentences and of combining reading and writing together.With this research,it is promising to find new ideas to strength the middle age primary school students’ reading and writing skills and ability.
