Teaching is a life-cultivating career,and any improvement of teaching activities should focus on the meaning of life.Ancient Chinese poems in the stage of primary school are rich in the value of life.But for a long time,the set teaching patterns of ancient Chinese poems have weakened the meaning of life therein.The teaching of the ancient Chinese poems under the background of curriculum of reform should attach importance to the the pursuit of and to the focus on the meaning of life.This research is carried out from the following five aspects.The first chapter mainly discusses the background and significance of this research and outlines the researching plan in aspects of the reason of choosing this topic,meaning of this research,definition of the key words and the current research status home and abroad.The second chapter further elaborates the contents of the meaning of life,analyzes the composition of meaning of life in ancient Chinese poems in the stage of primary school and explains the characteristics of highlight-the-meaning-of-life oriented teaching.The third chapter mainly studies how to design and compile researching tools and how to select appropriate researching methods,and investigates the current status of highlight-the-meaning-of-life oriented teaching of ancient Chinese poems in the stage of primary school so as to provide a authentic basis for future research.According to the observation of classroom teaching in two model schools and interviews with and questionnaires answered by part of teachers of the mentioned two schools,this thesis summarizes the current status and existing problems of the highlight-the-meaning-of-life oriented teaching in ancient Chinese poems and also analyzing the factors of the problem.The factors on the teachers' side are mainly insufficient in appreciating the meaning of life,weak awareness of the meaning of life in preparation,weakening the meaning of life by "the set patterns of teaching",neglecting the meaning of life by "the passive teaching".And the factors on the students' side are mainly missing the meaning of life by "passively accepting",ignoring the meaning of life due to "the utilitarian objectives",and weakening the meaning of life because of low efficiency.The fourth chapter introduces the theoretical basis of the research and the principles and guiding ideas of highlight-the-meaning-of-life oriented teaching of ancient Chinese poems in the stage of primary school.The fifth chapter,the most important part of this research,concludes the strategy of the highlight-the-meaning-of-life oriented teaching of ancient Chinese poems in the stage of primary school.Because teaching is a complex work,this chapter further studies the general and vague teaching strategies from the four strategies namely:teaching preparation strategy,teaching strategy,evaluation strategy and guarantee strategy.The teaching preparation strategy includes reading carefully and discovering the meaning of life,selecting carefully and integrating the meaning of life;designing elaborately and transforming the meaning of life.The teaching strategies includes diving in the meaning of life based on textual images,feeling the meaning of life based on recitation under different contexts and sublimating the meaning of life by practicing what.the students have learned.The evaluation strategy includes diversifying in evaluation subjects,evaluation contents and evaluation forms and dynamic evaluation of process.The guarantee strategy includes special research on the said topic so as to strengthen teachers' awareness of the meaning of life,team guarantee to arouse students' potential of life,life connecting to expand the life space of ancient poems.
