With the popularization of higher education and the development of autonomous career choice methods,especially the expansion of postgraduate education,the quality of employment of graduates and postgraduates presents different trends.The past method to research employment problem which took bachelor?master and doctor as a group cannot effectively solve the individual problems that arise in the employment of various groups.It is of practical significance to discuss the status of the employment quality of different qualifications and the influencing factors.Using the 2015-2017 employment survey data of Nanjing University,and based on the literature review of employment problems of different groups,this study divides employment quality into unit nature,professional match,moderate education,initial salary and job satisfaction.Descriptive statistics are used to analyze the current employment status of undergraduates and postgraduates,and related analysis and logistic regression are used to explore and compare the influencing factors of employment quality of these two groups,and using theory of rational choice to analyze similarities and differences of possible causes.Finally,drawing six conclusions:First,undergraduates and postgraduates have different employment quality and influencing factors.Second,the demographic characteristics still affect the inequality of the entire job market.Third,compared with undergraduates,professional categories have a greater impact on postgraduates' employment quality.Fourth,human capital has a greater impact on postgraduates than undergraduates.Fifth,social capital has a weaker influence on undergraduates and postgraduates.Sixth,compared with undergraduates,postgraduates are more difficult in the job market,mainly manifested in education mismatch,small salary gap between two groups,low job satisfaction,and blind efforts.Based on the theory of rational choice and other theories,the thesis makes further analysis of the above findings and proposes possible solutions.The main issues are:(1)Differentiating employment issues for graduates with different qualifications;(2)Reducing employment barriers caused by gender characteristics;(3)Attaching importance to the matching of professional categories with individuals;(4)Improving the stock and quality of master's human capital;(5)Rationally treat the impact of social capital on employment;(6)Improve the efficiency of master's employment.
