English reading is an important embodiment of the comprehensive learning ability of English.In the whole process of English learning,the requirement for improving English reading ability is also higher and higher.At present,English teaching in Chinese high school classroom,more teachers are used as the center of the conventional teaching method,students are only passive study.This is especially true in high school English reading class.After a large number of investigation and studies,according to the actual situation of the students,the author tries to analyze the interest of English learning and the autonomy of reading as well as the importance of English teaching and learning for English teachers and students in vocational high school.An attempt is made to put forward a kind of English reading for vocational high school students.The way of learning is interactive teaching.The interactive reading teaching method advocates that in the course of reading,students are centered on the interaction between students and students,between students and teachers,and between students and reading materials.Teachers' interactive work is more to guide students,play a supportive role,help students improve their ability to read and learn independently,and to guide students to cooperate with each other in the process of reading English materials,and to improve the English reading ability in vocational high school.On the basis of the related research of interactive teaching method,it is necessary to solve a problem: how to improve students' reading ability by interactive teaching method through improving students' interest in English reading and changing students' English reading cognitive purpose.In this paper,108 students in the first grade of the vocational high school in Huaibin county are taken as the research object.Class One is the control class and the teacher centered routine teaching is taken.Class Two is the experimental class and the interactive teaching method is adopted.There are 55 students in Class One,and 53 Students in Class Two.By comparing the test before and after,the test data is collected as well as questionnaire survey and interview,and then the data is analyzed with SPSS and Excel.In the four months of 16 weeks of teaching experiments,it is shown that in the teaching of English reading in vocational high school,the effect of the interactive teaching method on students' reading ability is more obvious.Therefore,the following conclusions can be drawn: the use of interactive teaching method can help improve students' interest in reading English,and also help to change students' awareness of English reading.At the same time,the students' English reading ability can be improved without increasing the extra learning burden of the students.Therefore,it is necessary for the interactive teaching method to be used in the teaching of English reading in vocational high school.This method is also of great significance to the development of English classroom teaching.
