Study On The Intervention Of Medical Social Work In General Hospitals

With the development of modern society and economy,people's medical and health care needs have expanded from the physiological needs of the past to physiological and psychological needs.With the shift of medical model from biomedical rehabilitation to the ‘whole person care model',the rapid development of social work in China,and the tense doctor-patient relationship,our society has increased the demands for community medical social work.Medical social work is an important branch of social work and plays an important role in regulating doctor-patient relationship,integrating social resources,grief counseling and hospice care.Beijing,Shanghai,Shenzhen and other places have begun to use their own advantages as soon as possible to explore and practice hospital social work.The development of medical social work has always been at the forefront of the mainland.Due to the constraints of economic and social development,the development of Shanxi social work is still at a preliminary stage of exploration.With interviews,literature analysis and participatory observations,this paper explored and analyzed the related situations of X Hospital medical social work.The main contents included three parts: The development of X Hospital,The problems existing in the intervention of medical social work in the X Hospital,and the finding of corresponding solutions: 1.The development stage of medical social work of policy support stage,exploration and learning stage and practice stage.2.These problems included: the lack of professional medical social workers,and the low cognition about medical social work between doctors and patients,and the lack of understanding of medical social work for public and lacks policy support.3.Relative suggestion were: establishing a professional team of medical socialworkers,improving the social work practice system,introducing professional medical social worker talents,establishing a hospital social worker system,establishing a hospital resource network,and improving the social work of medical personnel Awareness,establishing a medical social work department,improving the status of hospital medical social workers,improving the social support system,improving publicity mechanisms,raising public awareness,and strengthening relevant policy support.All in all,although the intervention of the medical social work of X Hospital are faced with many problems,at the same time,we should also realize that it is feasible and necessary to continue the exploration of medical social work in this hospital.
