With the development of our national economy, the bank business showed a substantial growth, the bank counter service pressure increased significantly. ATM(Auto Teller Machine),as the representative of the financial self-service terminal equipment, realizes the automation of the bank counter business through the modern means of science and technology, and has become an important channel of bank service. The software running on the ATM terminal equipment, which is called ATM controlling software system, is usually provided by each ATM manufacturer. Different systems are not compatible with each other, which leads directly to result of the ATM centralized maintenance and management difficulties. Aiming at the above problems, a set of ATMC application system which can run on a variety of different types of ATM devices is put forward.The system introduces WOSA(Window Open System Architecture), and puts WOSA/XFS(Extensions for Financial Services)standard as a basis for the design and implementation of the system. The system conforms to the relevant principles of the ATM terminal software, and draws on the design idea of the existing ATM terminal software products. According to the method of software engineering, firstly, the requirement of the system has been analyzed, and the system use case diagram is presented using UML object oriented modeling technology. The design of the system software architecture uses hierarchical design ideas,the division and the development and implementation of the system function modules are carried out on this basis. The system is based on WOSA/XFS standard, using Microsoft Visual Studio and Windows XP operating system as the development environment.The system has been through the comprehensive test, and the test results show that the system meets the expected requirements well. The system actualizes the implementation of various ATM business function, and achieves running on different hardware platforms at the same time, which improves the efficiency of ATM centralized management. The system adapts to the financial self-service business needs and market demand of the future.
