| PBN is an important part of the flight instrument procedure design,w related to the aircraft operating safety and the smooth implementation of air traffic services. Among all the procedures, PBN SIDs are ones of the most important guiding procedures for the departure aircrafts. At present flight procedure designers are still drawing the protection area manually, which is inefficient and hardly reaches the stardard of precision requirement. With the development of computer science and geographic information management technology, we can see the requirement of flight procedure design automatic generation is significantly increasing day by day. Base on this, Northeast ATMB and Civil Aviation flight University of China co-worked together and researched a project named’Flight Procedure Three-dimensional Design System’. This paper is based on this project to accomplish the design and implementation of PBN departure protection area automatic generation system.The goal of this paper, according to ICAO Doc 8168, PBN design manual and practical design experience, is to refine the protection area drawing rules of five PBN SIDs of turning at a height or point specified based on DF, TF and CF, and get the obstacle assessment models. Then use the C# programming language to implement the protection area automatic generation of PBN departure and obstacles automatic evaluation on ArcGIS secondary development platform, use consercative and unified idea to close the protection areas in the blind of rules, meanwhile provide the windows or interface for the results, like inputting, searching, editing, printing, outputting and so on. Finally, design PBN SIDs and draw the protection areas of a special airport on this system, and compare the drawing result to verify the validity and accuracy of the implementation in this paper. After summarizing the results in this paper, analyze the the existing problems and identify the future research directions of this system. |
