With the wide application of multimedia information in people's life, wireless multimedia sensor networks(WMSNs) were born based on wireless network communication and sensor technology. WMSNs are composed of multimedia video and audio equipment and other specific functions of sensors. Its main function in the practical life is to collect?process and transmit the huge amount of multimedia information. Because of the storage capacities and calculative abilities all limited in the WMSNs, so we should study the video coding method of lower complexity and higher compression efficiency. This paper makes a further study on effective method of multimedia video coding technique in WMSNs. Theory research introduces two parts of knowledge theory research: the compressed sensing(CS) and distributed video coding(DVC) algorithm. It comprehensively studies the distributed compressed sensing(DCS) video decoding method. This article focuses on CS improving sparse transformation algorithm of video compression technology. We put forward the joint sparse transform(JST) method and adaptive double group sparse transformation(ADGST) method. The method of JST makes full use of the wavelet transform and the redundant dictionary sparse transform(RDST). It optimizes the sparse representation of the video sequence. It also reduces the decoding time of video sequences. The ADGST method is based on adaptive group sparse transform(AGST). It optimizes the sparse transformation of secondary frame. First, it uses wavelet transforms to sparse the secondary frame. Second, it makes the similar images adaptive grouping. The last one, it uses RDST method to sparse the similar images those in the same group. This method reduces the time of video sequence coding.
