Design And Implementation Of Open Experimental Teaching Management System

Experimental teaching is an important part of the daily teaching in colleges and universities, and plays an important role in improving students’ interest in learning and applying theoretical knowledge to practice. Therefore, the effect of experimental teaching is directly related to the quality of teaching. In the context of continuous advance of informatization in colleges and universities, it has become a hot topic to explore the combination of experimental teaching management and informatization. Of the innovation achievements of experimental teaching, open experimental teaching, as an emerging teaching method, has been more and more popular in colleges and universities, as it is not only an extension of traditional experimental teaching, but also can effectively enhance the students’ involvement in experiments and improve the management efficiency of the experimental teaching, which is the key. To this end, this paper discusses the status quo of experimental teaching in Hexi University, and explores the development program for the management system of the open experimental teaching, in order to promote the transformation of the University’s management of the experimental teaching from the closed manual mode to an open, informatized and automatic mode.We studied the design and application of the open experimental teaching management system in this paper, based on which the author proposes an application program for the open experimental teaching management system based on ASP.NET technology, combined with SQL Server Microsoft database, on the Microsoft Visual Studio development platform.The study herein focuses on the four core modules, i.e., experimental teaching management, experimental grade management, teaching resources management, and open laboratory management. Wherein, the experimental teaching management module achieves informatization of teaching management, and includes the subfunctions of experimental course management, experimental project management, and experiment arrangement and reservation, etc. Experimental grade management module is used for the maintenance of the students’ grades of experimental projects and courses. Teaching resources management module provides a platform for the teachers and students to upload and share the resources for experimental teaching to provide assistance in teaching, and is helpful to broaden students’ horizons. Open laboratory management module provides remote monitoring of the power supply of the laboratory, including such applications as power control and viewing, etc., so as to truly reflect the openness of the experimental teaching. Firstly, this paper starts with an introduction of the research background, the research status at home and abroad, and the technical route of system development. Then it contains an in-depth analysis of the business process of the system, a detailed definition of the user requirements for the system from the aspects of the functional and non-functional requirements. On this basis, the system architecture, algorithms of the functional modules,systems, database, etc., are designed. Finally, the validity of the system function is verified with specific test cases through functional and performance testing.In this thesis, we discuss the open experimental teaching management system.Compared with other similar systems, first of all, on the open experimental teaching management system, we used three-layer structure, which can improve the system’s flexibility and maintainability. Secondly, we will put the power of the laboratory into management category in terms of function, students can book experiment successfully in the corresponding period charge switch on the power of the test bench. The administrator or experimental center director can have network at any place, can real time to check the power supply situation of laboratory, and they can control the power switch, through this model, it will combine experiment teaching and laboratory management very well. At present, the open experimental teaching management system has been put into trial operation in Hexi University, and its running is stable.
