| Infrared target detection is a very important technique for detecting target by receiving the infrared radiation emitted from targets, and is widely applied to some important fields such as infrared guidance, rescue efforts, infrared surveillance, etc. In particular, small target detection in infrared image is wildly used as the key technique for detecting target in the field of infrared target detection.First, the dissertation presents the situation and applications of small target detection in infrared image. Popular detection technologies are also introduced. Second, the dissertation emphasizes on both the analysis of characteristics of small target, background and noise in infrared image and presents some popular techniques for segmentation and detection. Third, the dissertation proposes a novel algorithm, lifting wavelet transform based small target detection in infrared image, based on the analysis of wavelet transform. Details of proposed algorithm are explained separately. The techniques of high pass, connected component analysis are exploited to make the detection more accurate. Experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.The transplantation of the proposed algorithm on the TMS320DM6446 is presented at the end of the dissertation. The proposed algorithm performs good on the TMS320DM6446 and can detect targets accurately. |
