| HINOC(High performance Network Over Coax)is a broadband access technology, which can achieve two-way transmission of high-speed internet service based on coaxial medium. It provides a practical solution to broadband access of the last 100 meters for the "triple play scenario". Only by making use of the cable television network widespread within the buildings, users can enjoy the high-speed internet service, which has great benefit in reusing the limited resource and diminishing the cost of production.Based on the national 863 project – “Research and Chip Design of New Generation Broadband Access Technology over Coax”, this paper emphatically introduces the simulation and FPGA verification in the process of developing the HINOC2.0 So C System chip. Firstly, the background of this project and the development history and current situation of HINOC are simply introduced. Secondly, the components of HINOC2.0 So C System and the structure interface and function of HIMAC is briefly introduced. Secondly, aimed at the ASIC design, a function simulation platform for both Pre-Simulation and Post-Simulation is established, and the problems in the process of this simulation are discussed. Thirdly, the function verification of HIMAC in FPGA and the test for the first HINOC chip are emphatically introduced. The problems in the test and verification are argued and the performance of HINOC Network is analysed. Finally, the main research works in this paper are summarized and further studies are suggested. By testing the whole HINOC2.0 system, it is turned out that HINOC can provide a convenient and practical solution for the “triple play scenario". |
