| In recent years, the Ubuntu operating system has been developing at a high speed.This system is thought highly of because of its good performance, good stability and high security. At the meantime, it is a free open source system, which can be applied to kinds of operating system researches.With the rapid development of computer technology, especially in the era of Internet Plus, Microsoft Operating System’s security becomes more and more fragile,and gets continuous hacker attacks. Encryption technology becomes one of the ways to ensure information security of computers, and it has been widely used both in governmental affairs and in individual life. The Advanced Encryption Standard(AES)has been adopted as the latest technical specification for encryption by both the American National Standard and Technical Institute. The AES is featured by its security, high performance, efficiency, convenience and flexibility.This paper studies the nature of the AES and analyzes its implement method.Based on the characteristics of AES, this paper gives a design of a secure file system in the Ubantu operating system by applying the AES. This design combines the encryption technology and file system, and enables the system to encrypt the files and catalogs automatically, so that the security of file system and user’s data can be enhanced. This paper also concerns the performance of the Design. Tests for Read and Write and Catalog have been conducted. The result shows that the secure file system based on AES in Ubuntu encryption system is effective, stable and reliable. This secure file system reaches the requirement and target of the Design.At the end of the paper there is a conclusion of this research. Some weaknesses of this research are found and they will be part of the topics to cover in the next research. |
