| Nowadays, with the rapid development of information technology, military strength and technology of countries around the world are constantly enhancing. Among them, radars need to be further researched and developed because of its importance in wars. All along, for conventional radars, problems like development cycle being too long, too much energy consumption and research costs plus outfield environment’s complexity and vulnerability to weather conditions make their performance evaluations extremely difficult.For the above problems, a radar system modeling and simulation software which is complete, scalable, and high degree of reuse was designed and developed in this paper, according to the system requirements, software design principles and system functions, we analyzed the whole framework, and designed the core function module, including graphical modeling tool module, subsystem management module, warehouse management module model and a model code generation module.This paper focused on the radar model library system design and implementation, respectively design and achieve studied radar environment module and radar signal processing module. Firstly, for the design of radar environment module, including radar transmitter, antenna module, radar receivers, echo module and radar clutter module, chirp signal generation module and the target echo generation module was emphasized in this paper. The modules were designed through the introduction of its principles, the design process or description, configuration parameters and the results of simulation analysis. Secondly, for the design of radar signal processing module, including IF quadrature dual channel sampling module, pulse compression module, moving target indication module, moving target detection module, CFAR module, single pulse angle measurement module and data processing module. Because of the diversity of the complexity of the radar signal processing method, this paper tend to choose the best or most innovative algorithm module to design, the specific design steps is the same as radar environment module. Finally, radar modeling and simulation software platform was introduced in this paper. The paper used this software platform to model and simulate the radar system. By selecting emulation module and setting the simulation parameters, the radar model was built. The simulation results was obtained by compiling model link and run, and then analyzed the results to prove the accuracy of the simulation.At last, modeling and simulation of radar systems was achieved.Compared to conventional radars, development cycle of the radar system designed and implemented in this paper was effectively shortened, its material as well as human resources consumption were reduced and real-time features were ensured. Meanwhile, the radar system modeling and simulation software developed in this paper resolved issues of most radar simulation software such as poor reusability and inadequate graphical representation, thus improved the efficiency of radar systems’ research and development. |
