Smart Home Monitoring System Based On Java Web And Android Platform

With the rapid development of computer technology, sensor technology, communication technology and Internet of Things and the development of people’s living standards, people pay more attention to the comfort and the safety of home environment. Traditional home monitoring system has been unable to meet the demands of people. Connecting all things in the family through the network, the smart home monitoring system can realize remote monitoring and intelligent management of the home environment data and home security status. Therefore, people can acquire comfortable, safe, convenient and intelligent home life. The smart home has become the development trade of the future life in the era of computer technology and mobile terminal booming. Monitoring home environment anytime and anywhere and finding home security problems timely have become the people’s urgent needs. Based on the increasingly strong demand in this regard, the research content of this article is proposed.In recent years, smart phones using Android OS whose UI is friendly and architecture is simple have been widely applied. By considering the smart home monitoring system development theories and techniques and combining the characteristics of home information services, this paper chooses Java Web and Android as the software system development platform. This task has designed and implemented a smart home monitoring system based on Java Web and Android platform. The task has completed the development of software system, which mainly includes the Web server software development and the Android terminal software development. Web server, which includes user information management, home environment monitoring, home security alarm, album management and other functional modules, has achieved user information registration and login, environmental data collection and display, home safety notification, image upload and display and other functions. Android terminal has mainly realized user information management, data display, home safety notice and alarm and other functions. At the same time, Android terminal through the network requests to the server for data update in order to maintain data consistency.Firstly, this article briefly introduces the background and the present situation of the development of smart home system. Then the article describes the related technologies in detail, which includes the MVC design pattern, SSH frame(lightweight mainstream Java EE framework, a combination of Struts, Spring and Hibernate together), database knowledge, Android UI development technology. The paper introduces the design and realization of the Web server and the Android terminal, and describes the technical problems and solutions encountered in the process of system development. Finally this paper has done tests on the system and put forwards some suggestions for system improvement.
