In recent years, with the growing pressure of working life, the incidence of various chronic diseases continue to rise, bring great influence on people’s healthy life. To prevent the happening of this kind of situation, the early prevention and treatment of chronic diseases has become a common concern. With the advancement of science and technology, the research and development of personal monitoring system based on wearable devices has been widely supported by the society. At the same time, with the popularity of mobile intelligent terminal device, the health monitoring for mobile terminals will bring great changes to people’s life. So in this paper, we studies and realizes the software design and development of the heart rate monitoring software based on Android system. It realizes real-time, mobile and continuous monitoring of heart rate information for users. At the same time we also implement the the analysis of heart rate variability for the heart rate data, which can determine the user’s health status, and it provide a good solution for the prevention and judgment of chronic disease.First of all, this paper analyzes the method of the analysis of the heart rate variability from the time domain analysis method, the frequency domain analysis method and the nonlinear analysis method. In the time domain analysis method of heart rate variability, it introduces the method of geometric analysis and statistical analysis. In the frequency domain analysis method of heart rate variability, it introduces the classic spectrum estimation based on the Fourier transform and the modern spectrum estimation based on the auto regressive parameters model, and it also implement the classic spectrum estimation based on Welch algorithm and the modern spectrum estimation based on Burg algorithm. At the same time, we make some analysis and comparison for the two kinds of power spectrum estimation results. In the nonlinear analysis method, we introduces the the nonlinear analysis method based on Poincare plot. In this paper, the analysis method based on the dynamic sample entropy was used to analyze the heart rate variability. At the some time, we make some corresponding improvement for the method of fast calculation for this method. By this method, we study the dynamic changes of the heart rate variability in the time series of RR intervals.Then this paper introduce the design and implementation of the monitoring software of the heart rate information based on Android system. Starting from the requirements of software system, we introduces the system’s functional requirements and non-functional requirements, and design the corresponding overall framework of system and function of module. For the main function modules which include user login and registration module, the sensor controller module, data visualization module, data storage module, user information display module and server communication module are introduced in detail, at the same time we also introduce the process of data analysis on the server side.Finally this paper makes a detailed functional testing for the main functions of the terminal monitoring software. The test results show the software works well. At the same time this paper also carries out the linear analysis and nonlinear analysis of the heart rate variability for the test data collected by the terminal monitoring software. Through comparing the results of the analysis, it verifies the correctness of the above analysis method.
