LED detecting and sorting machine is a kind of integrated system which is highly integrated with software and hardware. In this machine, the sorting system is mainly for sorting and arrangement of the chips which have been detected. Software quality has important influence on the accuracy and efficiency of chip sorting, and the selection of software testing method is particularly important. However, the software testing work of the existing LED sorting system needs to be improved. In this paper, the sorting system of LED integrated machine is used as the object, the test case’s design method and reuse strategy are analyzed and studied as following.A basic overview of the working principle and mechanical structure of LED sorting system is made, put forward the test requirements and operational test requirements which are aimed at the software interface and function, and proposed accuracy, efficiency, CPU and memory occupancy and other related performance indicators which are expected to be achieved aimed at the performance of the sorting system. Combined with the test requirements, the advantages and disadvantages of various common black-box testing method are analyzed and compared, and the black-box testing method for each module of the sorting system is explained.The software interface of LED sorting system is analyzed, the function modules are decomposed, and the test strategy based on coverage and risk is put forward. According to the characteristics of each function module, respectively, adopting different test methods to design the test case, more bug were effectively found. Performance test case are designed from the aspects of chip sorting accuracy and efficiency and resource usage situation, found that the important factors affecting the precision of chip separation, resource occupancy test method provides a great help for software developers to find code module’s defection.After accumulating a lot of functions and performance test cases of the system, a test case library is set up, a reuse model for test case is put forward, analyzed the common analysis and classification of software testing in similar fields, as LED sorting system and LED rearrangement machine for example, achieved the reuse of test cases in LED sorting system successfully on LED rearrangement machine, which lays a good foundation for the design and reuse of test cases for other devices in the future.
