With the continuous development of society and the advancement of urbanization, the problem of building fire has caused more and more attentions. Escape navigation in fire environment within buildings has become a research focus in the field of security. It is particularly important to develop a fire engine which can be able to build scenario and show escape routines within buildings. However, scenario connected path can be attained by a lot of collision detection based on incomprehensibility of scenes built by traditional scene representation methods. For this situation, the paper puts forward representing methods of structured model of scene building within buildings. Based on the fact that the path of scenario built by this approach can be attained without complex calculation, the research contents of this paper are as follows:(1) Extracts three basic elements of building scene through the analysis of the scene structure within buildings. Based on this, the paper designs expression method of structural model of interior scene within buildings, and presents the acquisition and representation of scenario connected path according to this method. Structured model expression method has a clear structure and strong intelligibility in expressing complex scenes. Only simple judgments are needed to get to the path in the scene, which is also good for partition observation of complex scenes, and has the very good applicability for the building of rescue application in an emergency.(2) The paper illustrates the process of constructing scenes based on expression method and has detailed designs for three basic models. Combined with the real condition, sets reasonable scene partition strategies to make users get locale information more convenient and provide fire-fighting guidance quickly. According to the characteristics of scene in buildings, the paper illustrates the determination method of the pathway in the scene graph, based on the escape route safety and survival time, and presents the diagram method of determining the weights of edges.(3) Finally, the system is designed and implemented according to the demand. The architecture of the software is designed with the function modules and classes are designed according to construction technology of object oriented software. The system is implemented by using Unity3 D.Taking teaching buildings for the system test’s case, the paper builds structured scene, completes partition in this scenario and searches for the best escape route function, and proves effectiveness and practicality of this expression method in accessing path in scenes.
