Big data analysis, cloud computing, massive data filtering applications, must rely on a powerful flow calculation and analysis platform, only have greater capacity data processing capabilities, more efficient parallel computing power, more in-depth network traffic analysis capabilities The basic computing platform can effectively meet the Internet’s large data analysis, large data cleansing, network behavior monitoring and auditing needs.As the traditional network security server interface bandwidth is limited, resulting in the data center space utilization can not be substantially increased, thereby increasing the data center network security server deployment difficult. Another with the server performance, energy consumption problems also increased. How to improve the network computing and analysis capabilities while reducing server power consumption and improve power efficiency has also become a key issue. In order to solve these problems, we need to develop a new generation of low-power servers for network flow computation.In this thesis, we design and implement a new network server based on Tilera GX36 processor. In this paper, four research and development goals of the new network server are given, namely, high density, multi-core, low power and low cost. Secondly, it introduces the whole hardware architecture of the system, including data access module, data exchange module, calculation module and system management module. The paper chooses Tilera’s multi-core processor as the main scheme of the calculation module, and selects Marvell as the main scheme of the calculation module. In this way, The company’s 10 Gigabit switch chip as the main data exchange module, select Marvell’s ARM-based processor core as the main program management module. Then, the related design of each sub-module in the system is introduced. The system management module is introduced, and the implementation difficulty and the corresponding development tools of the key technology in the system design are analyzed. At last, the design of system software is introduced in details. Open source Linux is selected as the operating system. The key technologies of Linux and chip driver are expounded in detail, and the system is tested and the testing scheme and results are given.
