FPC stiffeners automatic attachment with visual location and visual alignment technology has been studied in this thesis.In this file,we designed XYθ type running platform,which can move in vertical and horizontal direction,also can torque with any angle under PLC control and command.According to stiffeners classification,we select PI stiffener and SUS stiffener for related tests.Applied RTR process and mechanical robot’s handling method,we got the CpK data and attachment’s accuracy.Based on 0.05 mm and 0.10 mm tolerance,we calculated the CpK,which is about 1.0.For mass production,we can finish one PI stiffener attachment within 0.68 second,and complete every SUS stiffener within 1.5 seconds.After adding picking and placing heads,we can double the capacity of stiffener attaching.For special stiffener,such as stiffener with tab,we can use separating knife,and direct punching method to acquire higher attaching efficiency and competitive manufacture cost.The last but not the end,we still have some technical issues need to be studied and optimized,such as photographs pattern recognition and bad or defects detection.
