| Reverse engineering is widely used since it could achieve innovative design and reduce the time of product development.But there is a cumbersome and non-standard operational problem in the process of reverse modeling of tire pattern with the general software.To improve the efficiency of tire reconstruction,this paper developed a set of reverse design system of tire pattern,which can standardize the reverse modeling process of tire pattern.First of all,according to the required functions,we accumulated solid technologies required for system development.Aiming at a series of challenging difficulties of tire reverse remodeling,this paper proposes a tread pattern modeling method based on tire’s reverse characteristics.This method is based on the research of tire tread pattern characteristics.Firstly,the tread pattern is broken up into different feature elements.Secondly,point cloud is changed into feature element by using a series of core algorithms.Finally,the process from feature element to model can be realized.This method can not only improve the efficiency of the tire’s reverse modeling,but also accord well with the process of top-down design,which achieves the unity of the reverse modeling and top-down design.In the process,aiming at getting some key parameters automatically,we figured out a series of core algorithm,which provides precious materials for the optimization design and performance study of tire pattern.What’s more,combining with CATIA/CAA and SQL Server 2008,we developed a set of tire dedicated reverse design system.Furthermore,we also did the field tests in order to verify the reliability of the system.This paper starts with the pressing problems of tire pattern reverse modeling,and then uses positive thinking to solve inverse problems uniquely,thus developed a tire pattern reverse design system.This system mainly includes the data processing module,model reconstruction module and database management module,which can meet users’ requirements through collaboration. |
