| Disaster is an important subject in the field of news report.A mass of news will be spread rapidly when disaster happens.Most people chose to read simple and informative news.In 2016 a destructive flood swept southern China.Info pictures,videos and H5 had been used widely by many media companies as significant visual news.Visual news has developed obviously in recent years.Visual news has been studied rarely until now.Under the circumstances,I analyzed 127 samples from Xinhua,People’s Daily,Financial News Network,Tencent News and NetEase News.I also interviewed 7 senior journalists.This article has deeply researched the floods in southern China in 2016,aiming to analyze the dilemma of visual news and find a feasible solution.This article is divided into six chapters.The first chapter describes the background,significance,contents and methods of my research.Some representative literature has been summarized in this chapter.The second chapter defines disaster news,visual news and visual disaster news.This part also analyzes application background and advantages of visual disaster news.The third chapter introduces the principle of selecting samples.The fourth chapter has a comprehensive demonstration on 127 samples of the floods in southern China in 2016,including quantitative characteristic,information source,subject contents and product modality.The fifth chapter analyzes the problems of visual disaster news and tries to find the crucial reason.The last chapter expounds how to improve the situation of visual disaster news. |
