As a kind of spatial filter,Frequency Selective Surface(FSS)can be a band-pass or band-stop antenna radome,and it can also be used as a wave absorbing structure for specific frequency.It is widely used in stealth radome.For the actual antenna system,the radome and antenna influence each other.For the integrated system composed of radome and antenna,to analyze the electromagneticperformance is of great significance to achieving the excellent performance of the antenna.This paper analyzes and design a radome based on FSS and an array antenna based on the equivalent circuit method,then we analyze the integrated system composed of radome and antenna,and compare the change of antenna performance,so as to realize the excellent performance of the antenna.This paper first introduces the research background and research significance of frequency selective surface,and elaborates the basic theory of frequency selective surface.Then combined with the current research hotspots-stealth,the paper introduces the design background of antenna and design problems of stealth radome.The design and application of frequency selective surface is more and more widely.This article first uses equivalent circuit method to design a miniaturization frequency selective surfaces worked at low frequency.We simulate a structure include a planar tapered meandering line(PTML)and a vertical via-based meandering line(VVML),and analyze and calculate it by the equivalent circuit method.By comparing the difference between the two kinds of results,we verify the correctness of the results.With the development of modern military technology,there are increasing needs for the broadband antenna with stealth capabilities and wide angle scanning,but the traditional phased array antenna is too large,and coupling between units is larger in the array environment.In this paper,we design a broadband and wide scan array.At first,we design an antenna with cycle structure in HFSS,this antenna's bandwidth can achieve five times frequency multiplier.The tightly coupled antenna is processed and assembled,then in a large anechoic chamber,the antenna radiation performance is tested and the results are compared with the simulation results.We apply designed frequency selective surface as a stealth radome,simulate the radome and antenna together.Then we analyze the electromagnetic performance of the radome and antenna system,the conclusion can serve as reference for the further design.At last,this paper summarize the research work during the master study,expounds the advantages and disadvantages of research work,and lists the problems encountered in research work in order to better research for the further work.
