With the development of the IOT industry, the application of active RFID is more and more popular, such as indoor positioning, intelligent transportation, smart home and other fields. It can be predicted that in the near future, active RFID will become an important part of our lives. However, due to the need for external power supply and short life cycle, the research of active RFID low-power strategy has great application prospect and scientific value.This article tells two kinds of method to save the power of RFID’s tags. The one is harvesting RF energy in the environment through the antenna. The other method is controlling the power of antenna adaptively to reduce the power consumption of the antenna of the tag. In this passage, we have done some theoretical analysis, some simulation analysis and some experiments. It can be summarized to the following points:Firstly, this passage analyzes the detection circuit which is harvesting the energy in the environment. By means of double-voltage rectifier circuit and the multi double-voltage rectifier circuit. The article summarizes several important parameters which affect the performance of the rectifier circuit. Besides, the author designed one model of detection circuit for RF energy harvesting .What’s more, the author designed another model of symmetrical type rectifier circuit for collecting the RF micro energy. At last, the author designed one model of power management and storage circuit.Secondly, this passage proposed an approach of power controlling, which is controlling the amplifier output power by detecting received signal. This passage deeply discussed the whole frame and then analyzed and simulate the specific circuit of VGA.Thirdly, this passage established experimental test platform. By monitoring different RF sources, we have verified the efficiency of power harvesting method in lower active RFID. Also, we verified the efficiency of antenna transmitting power by adjust the distance, and we got the dissipation-distance curve.
