Study On The Copyright Issues Of E-book In China

Since 1971 Michael S.Hart launches Project Gutenberg and digitizes the United States Declaration of Independence, which becomes the first e-book in the world, our world has changed in a rapidly way with the development of science technology and network technology. The traditional way of reading has gradually been replaced by E-book, which appears as a new way of reading. People’s reading habits have changed from reading a paper book to e-book. With the birth of Amazon Kindle in 2007, the people from all over world are setting off an upsurge of using E-book. However, the popularity of e-book also brings about a large number of copyright problems, and a variety of copyright infringement disputes have become increasingly outstanding. This thesis is mainly about the copyright issues in China. Starting from the definition of E-book and copyright, this paper provides some typical copyright infringement cases in recent years, analyses the current problem, summarizes the cause of e-book issues, and provides advice on how to solve the copyright problem in China.This paper is divided into five chapters: the first chapter is introduction; it mainly introduces the research background, research significance of the paper, summarizing the domestic and foreign literature research, then the paper put forward the innovation and research method of the article. The second chapter defines the concept of E-book and copyright, putting forward the problem of the copyright issues of e-book, which paves the way for the following. The third chapter provides the Baidu library event and analysis it briefly. The forth chapter summarizes the current problems of E-book industry. The fifth chapter is the effective solutions according to the present situation of the copyright problems. The author put forward some suggestions from the laws and regulations, administrative supervision, copyright platform, copyright protection technology on how to solve the problem, looking forward to be the guiding role in copyright protection of China, and also we can get the e-book infringement solved one day.
