In the field of industrial process control, the controlled objects often have the characteristics of large time delay, time-varying, complex and nonlinear. The control of the dynamic water circulation temperature in the heating tank is a typical large time delay process. Due to the existence of large time delay, control effect could not be feedback timely. Thus in the actual operation of the conventional control, it is difficult to achieve the desired control effect.With the rapid development of science and technology and the updating of various control technologies, a variety of new intelligent control algorithms have been integrated into the conventional control theory to achieve the actual control of the process variables such as temperature. PLC programmable logic controller which have powerful function and the feature of strong anti-interference. It is widely used in industrial control. With the powerful data processing capability and the design of the monitoring configuration of the host computer, it is possible to realize the intelligent algorithm.This paper firstly studies the realization and optimization of the temperature big time delay system control algorithm. Then we establish mathematical model of large time delay temperature control system. On the MATLAB simulation platform, some simulation research has been done about conventional PID control and improvement, SMITH predictive control, fuzzy PID control. The hardware system can be built and configured based on the PLC machine. As for control algorithm online real-time test and implementation, we use OPC technology and WinCC PC server to realize the Simulink simulation control algorithm in the process device platform. In the structured programming of STEP7, the application of fuzzy PID intelligent algorithm in the heating water tank system is realized by using the table look-up method. At PC aside, the large time delay temperature control system screen have been configured using WinCC configuration tool. Compared with traditional control methods, the temperature curve based on fuzzy PID algorithm has achieved excellent control effect for dynamic and steady state performance in the practical operation of the system...
