| The expressway service area is an important supporting facility to ensure the safety,smoothness,convenience and quick speed of the expressway,and directly serves every passenger.It is an indispensable part of expressway information service system,and its infrotmation plays a key role in realizing intelligent traffic.However,the expressway in Sichuan Province has just crossed the grasp of status of the highway,arrived at the level of information technology to enchance service management in the construction of intelligent traffic,and the standardization and information construction of the expressway service area has just begun,and a lot of work related to the information construction of the expressway service areas requires more investigation.The predominant problems are:(1)The newly ideas and technologies like artificial intelligence have not been considered in the management of expressway service areas,which resulted in low efficiency in data acquisition,integrated management,and data sharing.Some existing expressway service areas and others under construction are lack of necessary planning and communication in the electrical system and monitoring equipment,and the services areas are deployed without any interconnections.The service areas become so called “information islands”.(2)The routine management of the expressway service area are lack of standardized or unified business procedures standards.The high-level management team,i.e.,the expressway corporation of Sichuan,has difficulties to supervise and manage the subordinate services areas spread out in different areas.(3)Services areas are also where multiple administration sections exist,which causes vague responsibilities,and leadership vacuum.All of these will cause negative effects for the upper management team.(4)Different service areas in Sichuan have different ways of attracting investments and different models of operation.Unfortunately,the general business status is not optimistic except for a very few service areas with large passenger flow or with significant operating characteristics.(5)The low level of informationization of the expressway service area also results in lacking of suitable business ideas and models,rising cost of the service and management.On the other side,the customers cannot enjoy the convenience,comfort and affordability provided by the information technologies.Therefor,in order to solve the above problems,the research contents are divided into the following two points:(1)Exploreing a three-leveled intelligent transportation framework with business execution,business management and decision-making based on the frontier of information technology like big data,cloud computing etc.The network construction and operation of the information service management system in the service area is an integral part of the business layer under the intelligent transportation framework,and is the core of the architecture operation.(2).Designing and implementing a networked information management system for every expressway service area in Sichuan according to the content of the study(1).This system is designed to fully realize the integration the route management,providing services,monitoring,recording,and getting feedbacks at the expressway service area.This system has seven primary function modules:(1)Module of system management;(2)Module of basic information management;(3)Module for traffic information statistics;(4)Module of passenger flow statistics;(5)Module of business management;(6)Module of housekeeping,and(7)Module of Wifi management.The entire system adopts the B/S architecture,using the ASP.NET MVC framework and based on the Microsoft SQL2008 database.The programming language of the system’s back-end is C#,while the front-end development language is HTML,JavaScript and CSS.Through the experiments and tests of the system,it shows that the system developed meets the requirements of the service area’s management goals.The system will not only effectively improve the management of the expressway service area,save the operating costs,provide more convenient and efficient services for the public,but also provide corresponding data support services to the stakeholders for decision-making procedures. |
