Internet of Things technology is considered to be the third revolutionary wave of human information society after computer technology and Internet technology,which has great academic research significance and commercial application prospect.Internet of Things technology is a cross-disciplinary,multi-technology integration of modern communication technology,which through a variety of sensors and short-range wireless communication technology to connect things and things,and through the Internet to cover this network to the world.With the rapid growth of Internet of Things industry,a variety of things and concepts are created in recent years,large to the intelligent city,intelligent transportation,small to the smart electric meter,intelligent router,Internet of Things technology has entered all aspects of life.The structure of the Internet of Things is generally composed of the Internet of things terminal node,gateway node and processing center,which coordination with each other work.The gateway is an important part of the Internet of Things system.It is a bridge between the terminal node and the remote processing center.With the diversified development of Internet of Things applications,the desire for gateway is also increasingly rich.Based on the in-depth investigation of the functional requirements of the gateway,the author synthesizes the technical core and development trend of the Internet of Things,and designs the universal gateway of the Internet of Things which has enough commonality to meet the needs of various Internet of Things applications.The gateway reserved a rich expansion interface to ensure the further expansion.Due to the structural characteristics and the application environment of the Internet of Things,low power consumption design is particularly important in the application of IOTs.The design implements the low-power design ideas in the functional demonstration,chip selection,circuit design,PCB mapping and other aspects.Using analog switches,digital switches,a variety of technical means,as much as possible to be used to reduce power consumption.After testing,without adding power supply in the case,this article designed the Internet of Things gateway node can rely on the battery work for about 20 days.Using solar cells as energy supply to the equipment,in order to achieve gateway node stability of the work.The universal gateway node of the Internet of Things which is designed in this paper has the advantages of small volume,low energy consumption,low cost,stable and reliable communication,strong applicability,convenient energy supply,data acquisition function,support for a large number of terminals and so on.The gateway node could be used with different things terminal node or function module,to compose a variety of IOTs applications.
