| Multiple Protocol Label Switch-Transport Profile(MPLS-TP)network is a connection-oriented packet switched network.MPLS-TP is more efficiency because of the using of fixed label for packets forwarding,which means only one search is needed on every forwarding.Evolving from MPLS network,MPLS-TP cuts the complexity of layer3 forwarding feature of MPLS network and strengthens the operation,administration and maintenance(OAM)features for link detection and protection switching.In addition,in theory,the label segment of MPLS-TP packet can be stacked unlimitedly so that MPLS-TP is more suitable for multi-operation.This thesis reviews the history of MPLS-TP and compares MPLS-TP to IP and ATM network to highlight the superiority of MPLS-TP.Because of its connection-oriented feature,MPLS-TP data plane is a nature data tunnel.Therefore,MPLS-TP is mostly used for telecom operators’ backbones for operating L2VPN business which transmit data packets with point-to-point links.This thesis analyzes the combination of MPLS-TP and L2VPN.Pseudo Wire Emulation Edge-to-Edge(PWE3)is used to transparently transmit the packet of heterogeneous layer 2 network over MPLS-TP backbones network.The most important difference between MPLS-TP and MPLS is that MPLS-TP is featured with OAM mechanism.First of All This Thesis introduces background and knowledge relating of MPLS-TP.Then,This Thesis designs and implements a high available solution of MPLS-TP OAM module based on Y.1731 by analyzing current network and needs of business.Finally MPLS-TP OAM module is tested on the simulation of current network. |
