| The main purpose of this study is to explore,how the newspapers("United Daily" and"Liberty Times")in this region reported on the election news,in the election of the leader in Taiwan region in 2016?What are the characteristics of different newspaper reports?How its specific news frame is presented?Can the significant differences and bias be found after comparing these two?And what is the impact of the significant bias on Taiwan society?The method used in this study is mainly based on content analysis,supplemented by text analysis.The study try to analyse the election news in "amount of the reports and layout of the division","source","reported issues","reported bias" and "reported discourse rhetoric analysis" and other indicators.So that we can explore their own reporting frameworks of different newspapers in the election.The result of this study shows that,the difference and the bias which were analysed from the election news is very obvious."United Daily News" tends to Zhu Lilun and Wang Rukuan as the representative of the Kuomintang camp on the indicators such like "source","reported issues","reported bias" and "reported discourse rhetoric analysis".And "Liberty Times"obviously bias to Cai Yingwen and Chen Jianren as the representative of the DPP camp.In the meanwhile,we can also find that the newspapers in Taiwan region still carry obvious political party colors in this election,and it’s still in the blue-green confrontation framework.While the key point of the news still focused on various types of rally activities and scandal events.Most probably,these problems have made some impacts on the voters. |
