High-precision and high-speed pose measurement for fast moving objects in a wide range of spatial space plays an important role in aerospace and automotive field.A new pose measurement technic based on orthogonal beam splitting imaging is proposed in this paper to solve the contradictions between the measurement accuracy and measurement speed in the existing pose measurement method base on monocular or binocular vision with multi-linear CCDs.In the system,monocular object lens with beam splitting structure and two linear CCDs are combined to compose the pose measurement sensor.This system ingeniously integrates the advantages of monocular vision and linear CCD due to its orthogonal beam splitting imaging configuration.Monocular camera helps the system gain a large field of view.And the two orthogonally placed linear CCDs are equal to one array CCD.Furthermore,linear CCD possesses the advantage of high-resolution imaging,high-speed data capturing and high-efficiency data processing as compared to an array one.The key work of this paper lies as follows:1.Researching on the machine vision measurement home and abroad and putting forward the research content in this paper.2.Analyzing the principle of orthogonally-splitting-imaging,perfecting the structure of the pose measurement system,and solving the pose of the target from the 2D imaging coordinates as well as corresponding spatial constrains are added to find out the most reasonable layout form of positioning feature points3.The mathematical model of the pose measurement sensor is set up corresponding to its imaging principle.And the calibrating method for parameters of the model is studied.The LED target by time-sharing lightening method is designed and developed.4.Setting up the experience system of new pose measurement system based on orthogonal beam splitting imaging configuration.The experimental results prove that in the pose measurement sensor’s field of view by 40 °,the measuring accuracy is less than 0.099 mm.Hence,this system meets the high-speed and high-precision measuring requirements in wide space measurement,which makes it applicable to pose measurement in aerospace and vehicle field.
