Application And Research Of RFID In Library

Book management system is an important part of modern intelligent library management system.Compared with the traditional manual management and simple computer management,it is convenient,fast and time-saving,which is more favored by modern people.The main features of the book management system are:improving efficiency and reducing the burden on workers.It takes less time to obtain the information needed from the books borrowed,changing the way of reading.RFID(radio frequency identification technology)is a kind of automatic identification technology,which does not need manual operation.It is a two-way communication technology,with the wireless radio frequency module,it can complete communication to recognize and identificate the tested objects without physical contact.With the high-speed,no pollution,the use of long-life and the other charactistics,it improves reading efficiency and saves the time of readers.The convenient way of borrowing will be popular with the people.In our country,the management method of many libraries is still using bar code technology.It leads to large labor costs and low management efficiency in the process of management,which can not achieve intelligent management.We need to import new technology to solve this problem.Radio frequency identification technology has many advantages,such as far distance recognition,large data capacity,strong anti-pollution and high durability.It can be applied into book management system because it can reduce the management tasks,achieve the services for readers to self-help,speed up the identification speed,read easily,and speed up inventory tasks.It is not difficult to draw the conclusion that RFID technology will bring a lot of convenience to the management of the libraries.This paper is based on the software development of RFID intelligent library management system.First of all,it introduces the development of RFID at home and abroad,it also analyzes the library management system’s demands.Secondly,the software design of the library management system is discussed in detail,based on the demand analysis and the function structures of each subsystem which gives the hardware design and interface function module.Each subsystem which gives the hardware design and interface function module.Lately,we combine the SQL Sever2008 database,Java programming language,so that we can achieve the software’s sub-functions of library management system,and make a software testing.In this paper,RFID technology makes the library management more efficient.It not only solves the complicate problem of library management,improves the management efficiency and service,but also makes it more intelligent and modern.
